Sell Digital Products in Systeme.io (No Shopify, No Bloat)
Selling a product online doesn’t need Shopify, WooCommerce, or a dev team. With Systeme.io, you can launch, deliver, and get paid — no tech skills, no overhead.
Here’s how to sell a digital product in 10 minutes flat.
Step 1: Create Your Product
Go to:
Products/Sales → Products → Create New
Name it
Add a description
Upload your digital file (PDF, video, ZIP, etc.)
You can offer:
Ebooks
Notion templates
Courses
Downloadables
Swipe files
Step 2: Set the Price
In the Pricing Plan tab:
Set amount (e.g. €19, $49)
Choose one-time or recurring
Optional: Add a trial or coupon code support
Choose payment method: Stripe, PayPal, or both
Make sure you’ve connected payment gateways first in Settings.
Step 3: Create a Checkout Funnel
Funnels → New Funnel → Goal: Sell Product
Steps:
Sales Page → Copy with CTA
Order Page → Add your product
Thank You Page → Confirm delivery + upsell or next step
You can deliver the file via email or protected download on the thank-you page.
Step 4: Automate Post-Purchase
Add an Automation Rule to the order page:
Trigger: Product purchased
Actions:
Add tag
customer
Send delivery email
Subscribe to upsell campaign (optional)
Now everything happens on autopilot after they buy.
Step 5: Test Your Flow
Go through the funnel yourself
Test payment
Confirm email delivery
Check your dashboard → Sales → Transactions
If you're not tagging your leads the moment they come in, you're wasting segmentation power. Good news: you can do it automatically — and invisibly.
Here’s how to auto-tag new contacts so your list stays clean without lifting a finger.
What You’ll Use
Funnel or Form
Automation Rule
One-time config. That’s it.
Step-by-Step: Tag on Funnel Entry
Go to your funnel
Click on the step (e.g. opt-in page)
Scroll to Automation Rules
Click Add Rule
Trigger: Form submitted
Action: Add tag → e.g.
lead
,ebook-optin
,from-seo
, etc.
Now every new signup from that funnel gets tagged instantly.
Bonus: Stack Multiple Tags
You can add more than one.
Example:
Tag 1:
lead
Tag 2:
blog-reader
Tag 3:
funnel-a-entry
Now you know who they are, where they came from, and what they want — without asking them anything.
Step-by-Step: Tag from Email Click
Want to tag contacts who click a specific email link?
Go to your email
Highlight a link
Enable Tracking
Set Action: Add tag (e.g.
interested-in-product-A
)
This is perfect for segmenting based on behavior — not guesses.
Why Tag Automatically?
Better targeting
Smarter automations
Higher conversions
Fewer unsubscribes
You stay organized as you scale
You don’t need to build logic trees in your head. Just tag as you go.
